Information on Westlaw Japan’s response to the New Coronavirus Infection (COVID-19)



We would like to express our sympathy to all those infected with the New Coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and those concerned.
We thank you very much for your special patronage. The following is information on our efforts to prevent the spread of New Coronavirus infection.
In response to the “State of Emergency Declaration” issued by the Japanese government on April 8, 2020 in seven prefectures in Japan, we have been restricting employees from going to work and implementing working from home to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infections. The Japanese government has fully lifted the “State of Emergency Declaration” on May 25, but for the safety of customers and employees and the prevention of the spread of infection, we have decided to continue restricting employee from going to work and implementing work from home and staggered work hours.

From April 13, 2020 (Monday) until further notice
* The end date will be decided in consideration of the situation in the future. In that case, we will inform you once again on our website.

【About Meetings】
Regarding face-to-face meetings with customers, we will conduct meetings using telephone, e-mail, and web conference as needed.

【About inquiries】
We will continue our business and there will be no particular changes in responding to your inquiries at this moment in time. However, there is a possibility that you might have difficult time being connected to our customer support on the phone and/or takes longer time for us to respond to your inquiries than usual.
