In August 2023, we announced that Thomson Reuters had signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Westlaw Japan business. We are happy to share that the deal closed on November 1, 2023, and the acquisition is final, meaning Westlaw Japan colleagues and products are now part of Thomson Reuters.
What’s next?
The integration of the Westlaw Japan business into Thomson Reuters Japan is underway, and we continue to strengthen our strategic partnership with leading legal publisher Shin Nippon by expanding the titles available to Westlaw Japan users.
