Online Seminar by Westlaw Japan K.K.

“Will the Time Come for Local Regions Post-COVID!? –About Autonomous Legislation ”

Lecturer: Hiroshi Okada, Professor, Department of Law, Kwansei Gakuin University

  Westlaw Japan K.K. (Minato Ward, President and Representative Director: Young Sun Bang) will hold an online seminar titled “Will the Time Come for Local Regions Post-COVID!?—About Autonomous Legislation” on Thursday, April 14, 2022.

  Corporations need to keep track of numerous ordinances, including ordinances on countermeasures against global warming, landscape conservation, fire prevention, and elimination of antisocial forces.
  In this seminar, the lecturer who has taken part in the establishment of ordinances will show actual cases to guide you through the system of ordinances, how they are established, the relationship with governmental legislations, and the importance of understanding ordinances.

【Lecturer】
Hiroshi Okada
Professor, Department of Law, Kwansei Gakuin University

Hiroshi Okada graduated from the Kyoto University Faculty of Law in 1990. He worked at Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (now Panasonic Corporation) and joined the Kyoto City Office in 1992. After serving as the Director of the Legislation Division, he served as the Director of the SDGs and Citizen Collaboration Division of the General Planning Bureau until March 2022. In April of the same year, he was appointed as a professor at the Department of Law, Kwansei Gakuin University.
